Carolina BBQ Pork Sauce
A vinegar-forward, slightly spicy sauce tailor-made for pulled pork. Classic Carolina flavor that cuts through rich meat with tangy brightness.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups distilled white vinegar 2/3 cup ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon white sugar salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Directions:
- In a sauce pan, combine vinegar, ketchup, water and sugar. Season with salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
