You'll learn how to make tangy Carolina-Style Pulled Pork Sandwiches and a zesty buttermilk coleslaw flavored with fresh herbs. Perfect for party appetizers or your game day spread, this menu is always a crowd pleaser.
Pasta Made Perfect with KitchenAid
Cooking Class Description: Few things are more satisfying than crafting, rolling and cutting fresh pasta yourself. In this class, we will do just that with the iconic KitchenAid Stand Mixer. You'll master from-scratch pasta dough and shape it into pappardelle, and our chef instructor will walk you through every step of simmering up a savor Bolognese sauce. Round out your meal with a citrusy olive oil cake crafted with polenta and topped with whipped cream.
Late Summer Italian
Explore the late summer flavors of Italy with this dreamy menu! Our chef instructor will guide you through creating an herb-packed sauce to pair with succulent pork chops and a super-creamy risotto enhanced with wild mushrooms. Plus, you'll learn to make a flavorful side of broccoli rabe enriched with walnuts and shaved parmesan to complement your meal. We'll end class on a sweet note with a classic Italian tart filled with spiced apples.
Savor Korean BBQ
Cooking Class Description: Dive into the dynamic flavors of Korean cuisine in this hands-on class. Learn to build delicious flavors in a marinade as you prep bulgogi beef for lettuce wraps. You’ll also create crispy-edged scallion pancakes on cast iron. Master stir-frying with glass noodles with fresh veggies and prepare a refreshing cucumber salad. By the end of class, you'll have various Korean dishes and flavors to savor.
The Grand Finale, in partnership with Sur La Table
Cooking Class Description: Slip into the life upstairs at Downton Abbey kitchen for one unforgettable class. In partnership with Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, we will craft dishes worthy of the Crawley family's grand table. Learn to perfectly sear scallops, prepare a French butter sauce infused with champagne, and infuse Dauphinoise potatoes with truffle for a dish fit for Lady Mary herself. End class with Île Flottante, or floating island of meringue in a decadent crème anglaise. Kitchen-friendly period attire is encouraged.
A Parisian Evening
Cooking Class Description: Indulge in a romantic evening inspired by the culinary elegance of France. Create memorable moments together as our chef instructor guides you through the preparation of a luxurious meal. Learn the art of achieving a perfect sear on succulent scallops, creating a beautiful golden crust while keeping them tender and juicy inside, then pair them with a tangy and aromatic beurre blanc sauce. You’ll also master the technique of layering potatoes in a classic gratin for delicious results with an ideal balance of flavors from gruyere and thyme. Then, conclude your evening with a decadent, velvety mousse featuring the bittersweet richness of chocolate and the zesty brightness of orange.
Iconic French Macarons with KitchenAid
Cooking Class Description: Classic French treats and a kitchen icon meet in this hands-on, three-hour baking class! Join us as we create two types of macarons from scratch with help from the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. You'll learn how to meringue eggs, make and fold your batter using almond flour, pipe and bake your batter to perfection. Our chef instructor will guide you through making two types of luscious fillings: blackberry buttercream and hazelnut-chocolate ganache. After assembling your delicate creations, you'll have a box of delicious macarons and a new set of skills to take home with you.
Wine-Infused Foods
Cooking Class Description: Celebrate the art of cooking with wine in this class, where you'll cook with your date to create delicious dishes that highlight the depth that wine brings to food. You’ll learn how to make prosciutto-wrapped chicken and a flavorful pan sauce with Chianti. Our chef instructor will teach you how to roast beets to perfection and craft a vinaigrette with cabernet, complemented by crunchy pecans and creamy goat cheese. End your meal with figs poached in cabernet, served with simple and sweet vanilla ice cream to balance the complexity.
Spaghetti & Meatballs
Cooking Class Description: Gather the family for a delicious Italian feast, made together! In this fun, family-friendly class, our chef instructor will show you how to make spaghetti paired with mini meatballs and tomato sauce. Then, you’ll practice your knife skills for a chopped salad topped with creamy Parmesan dressing. To keep the delicious times rolling, we’ll make vanilla frozen yogurt with sprinkles for dessert.
Chef Favorites
Cooking Class Description: Make your next date night extra special with a delicious experience. Grab your special someone and learn to make a restaurant-quality meal in this hands-on class. Our chef instructor will guide you through making a showstopping Wellington using pork tenderloin and roasting seasonal vegetables to pair with farro. For dessert, you'll make a Dutch baby enhanced with caramelized apples to make the night even sweeter.
Private Event
You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment. Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students, depending on location. Favorite Indian Dishes
Learn how to make incredible Indian fare while Chef Shan teaches you all about ancient India. Indian cuisine is as rich and varied as its country of origin. Chef Shan recounts the stories and legends of the land that gave birth to the cuisine taught in this guided hands-on class. First, Chef Shan will teach you how to make a traditional Indian meal of chicken masala or curry served with spicy potatoes and rice pulao. Finish the class with a classic halva for dessert. Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
Sous Vide Surf and Turf
Land and sea unite to delight your tastebuds in this chef-guided experience. Sip your favorite wine while Chef Dock teaches you tips and tricks to turn your home into a Michelin-starred restaurant. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn the technique for making perfectly cooked steak and lobster by utilizing the revolutionary sous vide process. Your class starts by assembling a caprese salad with vine-ripened tomatoes and fresh basil. Next is filet mignon accompanied with a mouthwatering crab-stuffed lobster tail, roasted Hasselback potatoes and grilled asparagus with lemon. End the evening by crafting a lemon-glazed strawberry shortcake. Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
Sushi Rolling Party for Kids
Kids will learn how to roll two types of sushi with Chef Shahida! This fun and interactive sushi-making class for kids will teach all the ins and outs of the art of sushi rolling. It's perfect for kids of all ages. After Chef Shahida teaches everyone how to chop fresh vegetables for a miso soup, kids will roll up a blended California roll and Philadelphia roll with kani crab sticks, cucumbers, cream cheese and carrots. Then for dessert, make sweet treats in sushi form with Rice Krispies, Fruit Roll-Ups and more! A minimum of one adult is required to be in attendance per group. Adults are required to purchase tickets in addition to kids. This class is recommended for ages 5-15.
Bake French Macarons at a Wine Bar
Whip, pipe and bake your own French macarons in this sweet hands-on class at a cozy wine bar. Sip, swirl and bake your way through this hands-on, two-hour macaron-making class hosted at a cozy wine bar. Perfect for dessert lovers and creative souls alike, this beginner-friendly workshop will teach you how to create delicate, picture-perfect French macarons from scratch. Start by mastering the batter with egg whites, almond flour and powdered sugar, then learn the techniques for smooth, shiny shells. You’ll practice piping, bake your shells to perfection and craft two luscious ganache fillings: white chocolate and raspberry. Once your macarons are assembled, enjoy your sweet creations in a relaxed, social setting. Wine is available for purchase to pair with your pastries and round out the experience. Beverages are available for purchase to enhance your experience.
Gourmet Asian Selections
Step into a world of fresh flavor as you create this array of Asian favorites. If you've never created your own Asian dishes, Chef Mell's informative cooking class is the perfect introduction. And if you're already versed in the cuisine, you'll find new favorites to add to your culinary repertoire. First, make a chopped salad brimming with cabbage, carrots and homemade dressing. Then, prepare a Chinese take on sticky ribs, seasoned with earthy spices and served with white rice. You'll also make light and crispy vegetable spring rolls and whip up fried plantains drizzled with an anise caramel sauce for dessert. Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
